Background

To see all Ireland yDNA Project results, please set the number of results shown to 5,000 or higher.
The default setting is 500 (first 500 results) and using this, you will only see the first 500 results
.

The Ireland yDNA Project welcomes males who are doing or who have done a yDNA test and who also have Irish ancestry on their own paternal line. This includes yDNA Genographic conversion kits, as well. Please note that it is a yDNA Project only.

If you are already in a Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) Project, please use the "Join Projects" link on your personal webpage at FTDNA, if you wish to join this project. You will need to send us a request to join and we hope you will take the opportunity to tell us about your paternal line and why you want to join.

Check that you are doing or have done a yDNA test and that you have Irish lineage on your own paternal line.

The list of surnames presented here is from Pendar's 1659 list.

Don't worry if your surname is not listed, all men with irish ancestry on their paternal line are welcome to join the project provided they do a yDNA test.
