This project's objective is to sort through the variations of the McHarg name, finding family groupings and connections to enable genealogists to pool their research. We hope to connect family lines between the US, Australia, and Canada to Scotland and/or Ireland eventually pinpointing the locale in each from which they came. We hope to prove or debunk the story that McHargs came from the Grahams. And last but certainly not least, to discover if all McHargs/McHargues descend from the Ui Neills originating in Northwest Ireland as the McHargue YDNA results so far suggest. We recommend the 37 marker test to get tighter results.
