The goal of our project is to assist all Kasbohm researchers who want to learn more about their ancestry through DNA testing. A primary focus of the project will be exploration of recent ancestral connections between Kasbohm families, but assistance will also be provided to members wishing to explore their deep ancestry. The 37 marker test is excellent for genealogical purposes because it includes some markers with relatively high mutation rates that are often helpful for establishing recent branching within family lines. The Y-DNA67 test is even better and is also recommended for those exploring their Kasbohm genealogy or deep ancestry, but some new members may wish to order the 37 marker test for their initial testing and see if they have any matches before deciding to upgrade. Upgrading is a simple process and can usually be done using a portion of the participant's original sample.
