To appreciate the purpose of this project, you should review the FTDNA learning center information: Family Tree DNA Results Explained: Y-DNA Haplogroups and Deep Ancestry. Presenter: Elise Friedman
In addition to genealogical matching, Y-DNA testing can also be used to discover the deep ancestry of your direct paternal line. This webinar focuses on Y-DNA haplogroups and how they relate to your deep ancestry. We’ll also discuss the Y-DNA Haplotree, SNPs and subclades.
Membership requirements: FTDNA yDNA tested men who meet the above conditions. To join simply click the Join Request tab to be linked to FTDNA There is no charge. Members NOT HAVING TWO TYPICAL YDNA STR MARKERS will BE REQUESTED to test POSITIVELY for the E-M44 snp. ALL the email addresses listed on a FTDNA member's record will be considered members of the project .
