Until 10/21/2021, the Carl project spent several years without an effective administrator. Paul Coverdale Bartlett, administrator for several years of the Coverdale Y-DNA Project, is now performing that function. The Carl Project has updated and re-organized our Y-DNA profiles to better reflect the apparent origins of the implied lines. Other attached DNA profiles, such as Family Finder (autosomal) and Mitochondrial profiles are welcome, but preferential attention is given to Y-DNA because it is the test that reliably follows a surname pattern. Communications with individual members will help address membership questions and concerns. We will continue to be open to new members upon request. Any surnames in this list and their variants will be welcomed: Carl, Carle, Corl, Carroll, O'Carroll. However, take note that there is already a much larger "Carroll" Y-DNA Project including Carroll and O'Carroll which probably should be considered first by those bearing those specific surnames.
