We hope to offer a resource to help the members and all those interested in this fascinating haplogroup gain a clearer picture about its history and nature, and especially, its sub-clade structure and the distribution of ethnic groups among the clades.
In this large project which includes the entire J haplogroup, we cannot carry out detailed research on individual family lineages. Rather, we'll do all we can to allow each member to discover where their lineage fits into the phylogenetic family tree of the J haplogroup.
An updated version of this tree, prepared by members of the ISOGG, based on the latest scientific papers, can be seen here:
Y-DNA Haplogroup J and its Subclades - 2009.
