Kansas Zwiener - Y-DNA Kansas line Hapltoype has finally been tested. Jim Zwiener tested originally to 67 YSTR marker level. He later did a separate BigY and we made a great discovery- Jim is related to himself and is a perfect match at 67 YSTR level ( Chuckle ). This line tests out within the post-Ice Age haplo group of R-M269. It is chronologically branched later at SNP R-U106 subclade.

Autosomal DNA
Not effective of deep Ancestry Relatedness
-is a test for residual autosomal DAN form all of our ancestors- It does not include mtDNA (female direct line) or Y DNA (male direct line). Each new spouse replaces 50% of the other spouse's family lines' DNA with their own.
A surname next generation (parent) is actually a packet of smaller segments of that surname line being whittled in half in each generation and the segments come form smaller combined by the surnamed ancestry backup the tree- diluted in half with very generation. Some ancestral DNA gets dropped off the pedigree tree.. The farther back up the tree, the more likely is the complete loss of some ancestor DNA. Autosomal DNA really is only effective in finding relatedness between testers going back 5-6 generations ago- Some cousins have matching DNA with other cousins and some cousins do not match one or the other or both-- Its not surprising that we are not seeing atDNA matches among Zwieners who immigrated in the 1870s +/1 from different areas in Europe whose ancestors af re farther back than we know.. This is expected-- WE NEED YDNA tested. Please don't let these autosomal DNA failures cause you not to YSTR testing of your male Zwiener line
