The goal of this project is to use the recently emerging Y-DNA testing tools to (1) verify the common ancestry of the Sensebach lines that have been traced back to New York via conventional genealogical methods and (2) to discover if other Sensebach lines tie in to the New York families or not. The Y-DNA test, which tests only the Y chromosome which is passed only from fathers to sons, gives us the tool to learn how and if the various Sensebach families tie together. 

Any male descendant of a Sensebach (including all the variations like Sinsabaugh, Sensabaugh, Sencabaugh, Sincerbeaux, Sincerbox, etc.) are cordially invited to submit their results to this group to help identify how the lines may tie together. I've just sent for a Y-DNA kit myself (the Y-111 version); should have the results up here in the next few months.
