The Sensebach Heritage surname project is intended to use Y-DNA testing to assess whether various Sensebach family lines (including spelling variations) are tied together. Many of the lines (like the Sinsabaughs of New York; the Sencabaughs of Prince Edward Island; and the Sensabaughs of Upper Canada) have been shown to tie back to immigrants Friederich and Johann Phillip Sensebach, who came from Wied in Germany in the mid-1720's.
