2025 Nov 02: Haplogroup K has grown to 27 branches, and the K subgroup finally has enough members to be split into two distinct groups!
2023 Aug 26: The lineage of Wahab Deen was added to the Discover Haplogroup Report for being the first haplogroup K Big Y-700!
2023 Aug 07: Pioneering Genetic Genealogy in South-Asian Family History by administrator Awais Hussain was published on FTDNA's blog.
2023 Jul 22:  Membership milestone - we've surpassed 50 members!
2023 Jul 10:  The name was changed from Mirpur Y-DNA & Genealogy to Northern Punjab/Jammu-Kashmir to reflect the expanded scope.
2023 May 24: Big Y results for our 4th haplogroup K tester posted.
2022 Jun 30:  FTDNA released the Discover Haplogroup Report for all Y-DNA testers.
2021 Nov 17: Results for our first haplogroup G Big Y were posted.
2021 Aug 27: The project was established by Awais Hussain.
