About us
A concentration of Johnston families in Counties Tyrone and Fermanagh reveals two different haplogroups: I-M223 and R-M269, with autosomal DNA often connecting the two. Intensive DNA-originated (both Y and autosomal) work by our Johnston Research Group has connected several of these families and offers significant promise of connecting more. Our scope includes Johnston families of Fermanagh, Tyrone, Donegal, Armagh, Down and adjacent counties.
