This group is dedicated to researching the family lines of the sons and daughters of our ancient Clan Chiefs. Is this conjecture supported by the Y-DNA and other evidence: As the male lines of the first sons reportedly went extinct in 1796, we are descendants of "other-than-first-sons-and-daughters" of our Clan?

The Y-DNA focus is men who are positive for Y-DNA haplogroup I-Y8830 or any of its sub-clades. So, if you are in a different Y-haplogroup, this is not the project that will help your research.
