A concentration of Johnston families in Counties Tyrone and Fermanagh reveals two different Y-DNA haplogroups: I-M223 and R-M269, with a few much smaller Y-DNA haplogroups. Our geographic scope includes Johnston families of Fermanagh, Tyrone, Donegal, Armagh, Down and adjacent counties.
