The DNA purpose is to solve the historical problem associated with finding the link between remote MacTighernans who are spread across the world in 13 countries on 5 continents. 137 MacTighernans have completed the test 

falling into 20 distinct and separate DNA groups. All known MacTighernan families appear to have their origins in Cos Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo with the origins of four testers in Co. Cavan, two from Scotland and two from Co Mayo and one from Co Kerry 

based on their verbal family history and one from India, then St Ann's parish in Jamaica then England.
