Any male with the name LUMSDEN, LUMISDEN, LUMSDAINE or LUMSDON is encouraged to participate in this study. This would establish a DNA database so that genealogists and historians can begin to delineate the various LUMSDEN, LUMISDEN, LUMSDAINE or LUMSDON branches and discover which, if any, they fall into. The LUMSDEN Surname Project is searching for one male from each proven LUMSDEN, LUMISDEN or LUMSDAINE branch to volunteer for the Y-DNA test.To begin with, we highly recommend the 37-marker test.
