About us

The purpose of this project is to serve as a gathering point for the Little Scottish Cluster (LSC), a group of families defined by shared ancestry that is confirmed by the presence of the R-S190 mutation on the Y Chromosomes. R-S190 (also called R-CTS2187) was passed down by a shared ancestor who lived approximately 1800 years ago, according to FTDNA's Haplogroup Story. Project administrators are volunteers who aim to provide guidance and analysis of Y-DNA tests, working in partnership with those who have taken Y-DNA tests to better understand the relationships and shared history among LSC families. Project members are encouraged to reach out to project administrators, who maintain an active presence on the project's Activity Feed.
