About us
GREGORY's migrated into the United States from several countries in the United States early history.
Many early GREGORY families were of English descent while some others claim Scots-Irish from Ulster, Ireland, and a few others claim that they came directly from Scotland.
In Scotland, during proscription and the banning of the MacGregor/McGregor surname by death (1603 AD) some of them changed their name from MacGregor or McGregor to GREGORY (the Anglican version) for pure survival as they left the Scottish highlands for the Lowlands, Ireland (Scots-Irish), England, or forced or voluntary to the British colonies (USA/Canada).
