Research Results

The Greater Hindustan Y-DNA Project is currently building its dataset. As membership expands, this section will provide:

  • Distribution of major Y-DNA haplogroups.
  • Identification of newly discovered SNP branches.
  • Phylogenetic analysis of regional lineages.
  • Migration and settlement patterns.
  • Comparative studies involving ancient and modern DNA.
  • Project-sponsored Big Y discoveries.

Current research priorities include increasing representation from South Asia, neighboring regions, and historically connected populations to improve resolution of the Y-chromosome phylogenetic tree.

Results will be updated regularly as new members join and additional test data becomes available.
