This project's goals are:

>  To test descendants and suspected descendants (males especially) to determine various family subgroups

>  To foster collaborations in researching Foushee family histories, furthering the lineage and determine immigrant ancestor(s) and period(s) of arrival to North America.

>  To determine the migration to and through North America and “homeland(s)” of ancestors.

Requirements:

·        Foushee males with a direct male lineage should take a Y-DNA test.  We recommend the 111 marker test be performed.  Conversely, you may test at the 37 or 67 marker level if you are willing to then upgrade or perform suggested SNP testing.

·        Autosomal DNA testing should be undertaken by both male and female participants (testing directly with FTDNA is recommended, however, transferred raw data will also be accepted)

·        Provide your Foushee pedigree, including dates and locations (If you do not have a pedigree, provide your documentation/research suggesting a connect for review and consideration)

·        A tester should allow their DNA results to be public for collaboration and to encourage participation from other prospects.
