All CHADWELL descendants who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of ancestral information and DNA test results are welcome!  We welcome equally those who carry the name and those with different surnames who carry the DNA. We were originally founded as a y-DNA surname project, but now have expanded to welcome all descendants who have “Family Finder” results or mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA results) and who share their CHADWELL ancestral tree on their FTDNA “myFamilyTree.” This project is intended for those whose ancestry includes known CHADWELLs.  In addition, men who are a y-DNA-25 match to a man with the surname of CHADWELL or to a member of the CHADWELL Project, are welcome to join, even if their surname is not CHADWELL.  All variant spellings are welcome. Males with the surname of Chadwell may be eligible for deeply discounted y-DNA tests.
