The aims of the project are twofold: first, to aid genealogists in the task of identifying ancestral origins and distribution of descendants; secondly, to facilitate the creation of detailed haplogroup maps of the British Isles by county corresponding to the DNA profile of the region's early history and settlement. See the project website at www.britishislesdna.com for further information.
