Secondary Purpose: Some members of the above named families all share a common DNA signature that is not typically found in Northwestern Europe.

There are questions about how this particular DNA signature arrived in Great Britain. There are also questions as to how widespread this DNA signature is among the population in the Counties surrounding the Bristol Channel. Therefore, The secondary purpose of this project is to see how common to this region is the STR value of DYS393=12 accompanied with a terminal SNP (tested or calculated) of R-CTS7822 or one of its subclades.
