Formerly SlavesSlaveholders, the Project is now called African American Griot Legacy Project. It is for members who can identify their ancestry specifically to the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade. This group exists to facilitate the finding of connections to the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade and the African diaspora. The project is also for the descendants of Enslaved Persons (EPs) and related Slave Holders (SHs)/Enslavers. The descendant line may be a result of an Enslaved Person (EP)/Enslaved Person (EP) relationship or an Enslaved Person (EP)/Slave Holder(SH) relationship.
