About us
A fund has been set up for those who wish to contribute-just click on the link found on the left side of your screen. Females may participate by either recruiting a close male Woodworth relative (brother, cousin, uncle, etc.); by sponsoring a male financially; or by contributing to the general fund.
To help you in deciding what marker kit to order here is a summary of what each marker kit will show:
12 markers:
MRCA* - 7 generations (50% likelihood); 29 generations (95% likelihood)
25 markers:
MRCA - 3 generations (50% likelihood); 13 generations (95% likelihood)
37 markers:
MRCA - 2 generations (50% likelihood); 7 generations (95% likelihood)
67 markers:
MCRA - 2 generations (50% likelihood); 4 generations (90% likelihood); 6 generations (95% likelihood)
*MRCA means Most Recent Common Ancestor
Since most of us are somewhere around 10-13 generations from Walter, the 25 or 37 marker kit should be sufficient to prove/disprove lineage from Walter or another Woodworth line.
