Walter Woodworth emigrated from England in the 1630's and resided in Scituate, Massachusetts. He is found living with the "Men of Kent" and is also believed to be buried in the "Men of Kent" Cemetery, however no proof of his English origins have been found. The goals of this project are:
1) To establish a genetic profile of Walter through descendants of his 4 sons, thus allowing any Woodworth to prove/disprove a relationship to Walter;
2) To compare Walter's genetic profile to other Woodworth/Woodward/Woodard lines in the U.S. and Great Britain and perhaps establish a point of origin for Walter in Great Britain.
3) To compile a list of unknown Woodworth lines and by comparing their results connect these lines to other known Woodworth families.
