About us

Our project is offering a FREE Y-DNA test to a male who carries the Wisley/Wisely/Wiseley surname and is a direct descendants of one of the following:

1) EDWARD WISELEY born 1782 PA, died 1833 Fairfield County, OH. Edward was the son of John Wisely 1750-1822. Edward's sons were William, Jesse, Amos, Henry, and Isaac.

2) WILLIAM P. WISELEY born abt. 1776 PA, died 1834 Fairfield County, OH. William was the son of John Wisely 1750-1822. William's sons were Jesse, Allen, William Patterson, and George.

3) JAMES WISELY JR. born abt. 1810 OH, died bef. 1870 Cumberland County, IL. James Wisely Jr. had wives Catherine, Mary Ann Fraise, and Rosa Ann Peterson. He had sons Thomas, George, William, and Aaron Lonzo. 

4) GEORGE WISELY born abt. 1820 Fairfield County, OH, died aft. 1870 Cumberland County, IL. George was married to Catherine Smith and E. Lovisa Thompson. George's sons included George Calvin, James Warren, Lewis Buchanan, and John Nelson. This George may have had additional sons - if you believe you are possibly his descendant, please don't hesitate to contact administrator Lucy Nelson who has additional information on this line. 5) JAMES WISELY SR. was born abt. 1779 PA, died abt. 1835 Licking County, OH. He was the son of John Wisely 1750-1822. His sons included David, James Jr., Joseph, and George.
