In the years before DNA and the Internet, there was a dedicated group of people painstakingly researching our Waldrop ancestry. They spent hours in libraries, courthouses and cemeteries compiling information about our family. They spent more hours typing page upon page of information they had found. And, even more hours typing letters to one another and phoning one another...sharing, comparing and sometime arguing.

Some of these dedicated researchers can be found on the internet today, still sharing, comparing and sometime arguing. Some have passed on and some have simply done all the genealogy research they want to.

We dedicate this project to all of those who began their Waldrop family research using a manual typewriter.
