About us
OUR AIMS ARE:
1. To group together male and female Treadway/Treadaway/Tredway/Tredaway members together that have a similar genetic signature and share a common ancestor through their Y-DNA.
2. To help members that genetically match find which family they belong to and guide them to established genealogies of other members.
3. To help matched members of a common ancestor confirm or deny their lineage through verified documentation such as paper trails, family bibles, etc.
4. To encourage closely related family members to further their genealogy through documentary research.
5. To identify each families origins; such as your ancestor founder, and where they are from.
6. To study our surname's evolution from the earliest ancestor to the present day.
7. And lastly, not only document but publish our results in order to further inform others for the benefit of our site.
OUR SHORT TERM PROJECT GOALS:
- Our short term project goal is to get this site up and running for all related families worldwide. Currently we are at beginning of a wonderful trek in matching our bloodlines genetically. This DNA site started in February 2018.
OUR LONG TERM PROJECT GOALS:
- Our long term project goal is to get as many male Y and mt-DNA testings completed so that the data can be put together. This will also help eliminate or to validate suspect lines that are currently out there. Also, to help related participants from related families to work together on their shared lineage. The more testing that is done, the more lines we will have to match.
