Hello! I have trace my paternal ancestors only as far back as the 1920s. There I found that my great grandparents Secundino Morales and Lazara Estrada had children in La Cardona, Mier y Noriega, Nuevo Leon. I also found a 1930 Mexican Census that puts them at San Juanito Ranch in Bustamante, Tamaulipas.
After that I have found they had more children in Mier y Noriega with the latest birth being in 1939 and the death of a child in 1947 at La Cardona. I found a birth record of who may be my grandparents first child but none of my cousins know the name.
The 2nd great grandparents listed in the record are similar to later birth records but vary a bit so it is confusing. Like, where later birth records say Donaciano Morales the earliest record says Casiano. And where most records say Secundinos Mother is Porfiria Rangel, this first birth his mother is Porfiria Mendosa. And Lazara Estrada shows her parents as Juan Estrada and Estefana Capetillo and also in birth records but one record says says Estefana Castillo. But it's the same town and the same Secundino Morales and Lazara Estrada so I feel that it is the same people.
Ah anyways, here is a baptism record of an Official Birth that I know to be my grandparents. And now that I think of it, perhaps I should look for a death record for a Margarito Morales.

Below is the overall country of origin numbers for our project. If your Y-DNA (paternal) ancestry is not from South Texas, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, or Coahuila. Please let me know so that I can hide your Y-DNA. I know many of you joined the project because your maternal line is the one that has a link to this geographical region. Hiding this Y-DNA will help these reports be more accurate.
