Project Administrators Tim Taylor and Johnny Taylor are constantly doing research and have for many decades. Tim and Johnny did not know each other prior to taking the FTDNA Y-12 test many years ago, and have actively assisted each other in determining their, and other Taylors, ancestry since then. Tim retired in 2024 from Washington State University where he was a Program Manager and Research Supervisor. Prior to that Tim did research for General Dynamics and the Municipality of Anchorage AK. Johnny spent his career doing research for the City of Arlington TX, and worked closely with Ardis Taylor, author of several publications about the Taylor families in and around Tennessee.
This project started as part of the larger Taylor surname project, also hosted by FTDNA. After more than a decade, and discussions with other active members of our Taylor family line, Tim and Johnny decided to establish this new project so that more research could be done with just our Taylor Family of Monmouth descendants.
