The aim of the Sones Project is to help individuals who bear the name Sones, or one of its variants, identify their genetic cousins and determine which particular Sones family or branch of the family they belong to. It will also help build a picture of how many genetically distinct branches of the Sones family exist today and help determine the ancient origins of each branch identified.
