About us
The main goal for this Sloboda-Yaltushkivska DNA Project is to understand the genetic relation between inhabitants of the village of Sloboda-Yaltushkivska or their descendants.
- We will focus on the haplogroup distribution for the last names existent in the village.
- We will sort members into categories according to their haplotypes, both Y-DNA (males only) and mtDNA (both males and females).
- Our male members are encouraged to test for 67 STR-markers of Y-DNA or more, and SNPs according to their haplogroups.
- Both male and female members are encouraged to take mtDNA and Family Finder tests.
- The group administrators will try to be in close contact with the members to provide information and understand the results.
