About us
The goal of this project is to provide individuals researching Sanok county area ancestors a common on-line venue for storage and subsequent analysis of DNA test results. Our main focus here will be on matching autosomal test results with traditional 'paper' research, to provide as compete a picture as possible of inter-family connections in the area. Some exchange of information will be through direct email to project members, but extensive, detailed sharing of ideas and information will take place within the Yahoo "Bukowsko Triangle" discussion group.

Ideally, participants will have an autosomal test result on record, either from FTDNA directly, or tests from a different vendor (Ancestry.com, 23andMe, etc.) that have been transferred to FTDNA. The tested individual should have at least one genetically direct ancestor from the Sanok area. y-DNA and/or mtDNA tests are also welcome, provided that the tested line is known or highly likely to trace to the general Sanok area. If available, members are requested to upload a GEDCOM file to FTDNA, showing known family connections to the area.
