About us

RESULTS:

We fortunately have had great success in meeting our goals in this project!!

a.  We think we have narrowed down the area of immigration of four of our six families in the Ruple Family in America Book through the science of DNA and study of accompanying genealogy;  we also confirmed the relationship between those four families and our Swiss Roppel family from Fuellinsdorf, canton . We established the DNA profile of all six families in that book, have found the European origin of four, and strive to advance and grow our group in an effort to find all European origins - we have taken two steps forward in that regard with the addition of two new members on this, our sixth anniversary of this study!! (June, 2011);

b.  We have proven that not all R-u-p-l-e family members are related; nor are all R-u-b-e-l/R-u-b-l-e family members related. The more the test, the more we will know about who ARE RELATED to these groups!!

c. We have two people to test from our group from – from different families;

d.  We have expanded our project to include ALL surname variants of Ruple: Roppel, Rubel, Ruble, Rupley, Rubli, Ruppel, Rupple, Rupell, Rupel, etc.  - Our group has just added two new members and we have 25 in our group now with several subgroupings of related families.

e.  Our study contains six different "haplogroups" ("ancient tribes"): E, G, I1, J2, R1a1a, R1b1a2

f.  We have promoted the knowledge of all our group members about their individual DNA profile; about who are their likely relatives; and about how to achieve success in finding their American and European relatives.

We cordially invite anyone with a Ruple variant spelling to join our list, share their known ancestry, and seek to find out more about their heritage with this exciting DNA science!!  Please join us by contacting the group administrator for more information . . . Jack Ruple, Sr.,
