Geographic project for people with roots in the Roanoke-Chowan section of northeastern North Carolina, and the adjoining counties in North Carolina & Virginia. The only requirement is for members to have an ancestral line from the area and to have tested their DNA with either FamilyTreeDNA or attempted a transfer from 23andme or Ancestry.com. If your Y-DNA or mt-DNA is of a lineage not from our target area please notify an administrator so those particular results are not grouped in with those that represent lineages from the area.
