About us
This project was founded in 2013 by Erik Maher and George Chandler to focus on researching the L21+ 9919 cluster, who have 459=9-9 and YCAII=19-19.
The project was adopted by Katherine Borges and Lawrence Doyle who have opened it up to anyone, from any haplogroup, with two or more doubled multicopy markers, that could indicate a possible RecLOH event. Here are some examples of doubled multicopy markers:
385=11-11
385=14-14
459=9-9
459=10-10
YCAII=19-19
YCAII=23-23
CDY=35-35
CDY=36-36
CDY=37-37
413b=23-23
413b=24-24
One doubled marker is not a strong indication of a RecLOH. Two or more suggest that a RecLOH event has occurred.
