About us
Ten years ago we thought there were two or three types of Rader's
We now know there are 14 Haplogroups. within each Haplogroup there are unrelated families
With the over 40 results we now have there are the original two groups; Adam Röder and Casper Rötter and many unrelated others.
With research done by Jim Rader in 2012 we now know that there are many unrelated lines in Europe in 1700-1750.
Many come from place names like "Rot" which include a few "Red Castles" and "Rot farms"
others come from the attribute "Rot" (Red) red people who have a red beard or red hair
and of course there are the professions
Wheel Maker - "Röder"
clearer of the forest - "Rötter"
and that does not even start to account for the Reeders, Ryders and Rothers
