This project has been set up to explore connections between the families of the Palatine women, using their descendants' mt-DNA. If you can trace your ancestry to one of the Palatine migrants on a line which includes female ancestors only, without ever including a male ancestor, then you are carrying the mt-DNA of your Palatine ancestor. If your matrilineal ancestors are found in any of the books by Henry Z. Jones about the Palatine migrants (see below), or if you have other evidence of your Palatine ancestry, we would love you to join this project. Please note that you will need to provide information about the matrilineal line you are testing. IMPORTANT : In order to join this project, you must : 1. Have access to a mt-DNA test, through FTDNA. 2. Be able to trace your ancestry to one of the Palatine migrant women via your female ancestors only, without including any male ancestors.
