About us
This is a dual yDNA and mtDNA project. This project uses DNA testing to break through brick walls that have hitherto proven resistant to traditional genealogical inquiry. This project is focused on Page County and adjacent counties. Page County is located in the Shenandoah Valley in northwestern Virginia. The area was settled primarily by people of German and British descent from Pennsylvania and other Mid-Atlantic colonies and by people of British descent from Virginia's Tidewater and Piedmont.
Individuals with ancestors from Page County, Virginia or adjacent counties may join if approved. In order to be accepted, a tester must have taken a Y-DNA or mtDNA test with familytreedna.
