To study the surname Ostrander, we will need Y-DNA results from men with the surname, or if adopted or an NPE and your oldest known ancestor on your male line is Ostrander.
-Recommended Minimum Testing Requirement is Y-67. Big Y highly recommended especially if you have confirmed you are genetically a male Ostrander.
For broader ancestral research, you may also join this project if you are a direct descendant of any male or female Ostrander, plus associated surnames, like Traphagen, Jans, and Karsten.
-Minimum Testing Requirement is an Autosomal Test. (Family Finder Test or a transfer from other sites such as Ancestry or 23andMe).
