This project is for the descendants of “O.N.” Oratio Nelson Smith and his wife Sarah Hyatt. Oratio was born in New York in 1821 and his wife Sarah, daughter of Zachariah Hyatt and Wyntje “Lavina” Kimberg, was born in New York in 1828. Oratio and Sarah had 11 children together; born in Michigan, Illinois and Iowa. There are very few direct male and female descendants, so this is a Family Finder project as there are currently descendants all over the United States.
