24 May 2024 - This is a new project that started today. It is starting with just 4 individuals representing just one small twig of this tree and hopefully will grow quickly into a beautiful large tree of Albemarle county ancestors!
29 May 2024 - Today the surname list of the 1785 Virginia Heads of Families for the counties of Albemarle and Amherst were entered into our surname list. These names were spelled exactly as they were in the document. These will be some of the early names found in the Old Albemarle area.
