Remember to fill in the fields for Earliest Known Ancestor according to our format:
Full name with patronym and farm name, years for birth-death, place and county code.
Example: Ingeborg Jonsdtr Råstad 1758-1836 Stokke VFO

Geographical area covered by this project
This project is a regional project and part of the national Norway DNA project.
To be part of this project you need to:
- first join the Norway DNA project if you are not already a member
- have either Y-DNA or mtDNA tested, with the direct line back to this area
- give the project administrators Limited or Advanced access to the kit
Who can join?
Each test kit will join the county project where the earliest known direct ancestors are from:
- Y-DNA test where the father's father's father-line originates in this county
- mtDNA-test where the mother's mother's mother-line originates in this county
- Y-DNA test with foreign origin that arrived in this county before ca 1801
- mtDNA-test with foregin origina that arrived in this county before ca 1801
- testperson with direct ancestors from this county, and who plan to upgrade with Y-DNA or mtDNA originating here
- testperson with direct ancestors from elsewhere, but with a strong connection to this county, and wants to follow the project (join with one kit only)
Hvem kan bli med?
Prinsippet er at et testkit meldes inn i de fylkesprosjekt der eldste ane i direkte fars- og morslinje er fra:
- Y-DNA-test der farfars farfars farfar-linjen har opprinnelse fra fylket
- mtDNA-test der mormors mormors mormor-linjen har opprinnelse fra fylket
- Y-DNA-test med utenlandsk opprinnelse, som ankom fylket før ca 1801
- mtDNA-test med utenlandsk opprinnelse, som ankom fylket før ca 1801
- testperson med direkte aner fra fylket og som planlegger utvidelse av FamilyFinder med Y- eller mt-test med opprinnelse fra fylket
- testperson med direkte aner fra andre steder, men som har sterk tilhørighet i fylket og vil følge prosjektet (meld i så fall inn bare inn ett kit og ikke alle man administrer)
