20 May 2018 Due to the sudden shut down and retirement of our host, WorldFamilies.net we as a surname research project are scrambling for a new home or to use this FTDNA site. In any case, it will be while as we try to reconfigure the data charts to the format of the FTDNA McClure DNA Project group pages. As your Admin, I have made sure no data or existing pedigrees have been or will be lost even after the complete shut down of World Families. Those that are waiting for DNA Results will have to log into FTDNA to see your results. If you are looking for a pedigree, we are trying to figure out how to do this on the FTDNA site, and or we are looking for a new home to place our project. Please hold any new pedigree.s until things settle down. I will still be notified of new results and I will still do analysis of the data and be in touch with you via E-mail about my findings. Please be patient.

Things you can do right away: Make sure your FTDNA personal page has ALL your up to date contact information and keep it up to date. Please make sure your earliest KNOWN Ancestor information is entered and is correct on your FTDNA personal page.

I will try to use the FTDNA mass mailing to keep you folks informed. I will also try to keep the latest information in this "News" section.

When you go to the Y Results page, you will need to know your Kit number to see your results compared to others in the project. But be warned, it is not in a format you will recognize, and you will not see your project "M" number as that was locally assigned by me, and only used on the World Families Web site.
