Y-DNA Tested Lineages without a genetic match to an established group remain in an Ungrouped Family Status until a match is achieved.
Lineages without a Y-DNA representative in the project are also placed in an Ungrouped Family Status until a candidate is found and matches an established group.
Once two or more Y-DNA McM* matches are achieved at a minimum of 37-markers, a new McMenamin Family Group will be formed.
