The primary goal of the McAtee DNA Project is to give family members with the McAtee surname (and surname variants), or who are McAtee direct descendants, a central site to compare their DNA results and to connect for ancestry research.  

It is our hope to offer the opportunity for group members to link up related ancestors with one another and to share their information.

This way we can begin to sort out our McAtee genealogy questions and find new contacts for family history research. 

It will also be interesting to see how the McAtee surname has distributed across the world, and 'meet' our relatives wherever they live.

In addition, we may find McAtee branches that are not related to one another. This will be an adventure of discovery for all of us!
