The Mattingly DNA Project is open to all members interested in researching the male lineages of the Mattingly surname by sharing Y-STR and Y-SNP test results. The primary focus of this project is the descendants of Thomas Mattingly I, who emigrated from England around 1663 and settled in Maryland. This project recognizes there may be other Mattingly immigrants to America who may or may not share a common ancestor with Thomas Mattingly I. Any of these family lines are welcome to join this project. Possibly variations of the Mattingly surname might include Mattingley, Matinglege, and Matney. Help us discover of our common heritage.
