- Consolidate DNA Research for individuals with the Lannin surname, or descendants of people with the Lannin surname.
- Help members to find information about their paternal and/or maternal haplogroups.
- Help members to find DNA-matches that may lead to confirmations and discoveries of shared ancestors.
- Help members to learn more about their deep ancestral origins.
We encourage you to:
- Provide information about your earliest known paternal and maternal ancestors so that we can see the countries or regions your lines come from.
- Provide a list of the surnames in your tree to facilitate surname filtered searches.
- We also encourage you to upload a Gedcom file with your family tree with as much information as possible, in order to provide possible links to other users who are genetic matches. The ideal is to upload a Gedcom which goes back 9 generations (if you have data that far back), and which includes descendants of the ancestors going down 1 generation. If you are not sure how to do this, get in touch and we might help.
