About us
The Jobe Family Project is a surname project (J-100 soundex) which seeks to find the common heritage through sharing of genealogical information and Y-DNA testing. All who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of information and dna testing are welcome to join.
We are seeking an answer to some of those unanswered questions that have hindered our genealogical research for years. All male Jobes are highly encouraged to participate in the project by having a Y-DNA 37 marker test. Female Jobe descendants should encourage their male Jobe relatives (who carry the Jobe surname) to also participate.
The Jobe project does welcome autosomal testees (family finder) provided that they do have a Jobe ancestor (paternal or maternal) or a very early close Job(e) connection to many of our Jobe cousins (usually this is before 1800).
