At the creation of the project (May 2022) Two mtDNA descendants of Jane Yates who have taken Full mtDNA tests at Family Tree DNA have been identified. Both of these individuals fall under mtDNA Haplogroup H13a1a with three extra mutations: 11794C, 16335G and 8701A! (this last mutation is a mutation back to its ancestral value.
This haplogroup assignment is likely to change in the future as FTDNA is working on updating the mtDNA tree.
Currently the two individuals are the only individuals at Family Tree DNA with all three of these extra mutations. Their closest mtDNA matches only include one of these three additional mutations. Given how rarely mtDNA mutates, it is highly unlikely any other matrilineal descendants of Jane Yates have mtDNA tested at FTDNA.
